red and white piecing - weekend project #2

 

Here's my red and white quilt progress....

I don't feel confident enough in my piecing skills to run one super long strip of blocks so I pieced in smaller sections and attached as I went

 

one more piecing section and I'll have the top together.   Probably not be able to get back to this til the weekend.   That's a lot of squares to take over an office/playroom floor :)

I've noticed when I photograph something I have an easier time checking pattern or color balance by looking at the photo rather than looking at the project in front of me.  Does anyone else find that happening to them?   I think it's the smaller size of the photo that helps me.
